Background

In 2010 the Board of University of Copenhagen decided that research and education within the fields of plant biology and plant biotechnology should be of top priority. Therefore, the new research centre Copenhagen Plant Science Centre (CPSC) will be established, which will combine all the central research activities at the University of Copenhagen within these fields.

CPSC will be rooted in the department of Plant Biology and Biochemistry at the Faculty of Science (formerly Faculty of Life Sciences), Thorvaldsens vej 40, Frederiksberg. Inauguration is scheduled for the end of 2012. Initially the centre will be situated in existing buildings, but will be housed in the new Plant Science building to be completed in 2015.
