National DNA and Tissue Bank
The National Tissue Bank is funded as a Research infrastructure by the Danish Agency for Science Technology and Innovation and will be housed at the National History Museum of Denmark. When fully operational it will have five cryo-vats for storing ~350.000 samples in liquid nitrogen vapour at -152oC. Storage of samples is in principle free, subject to acceptance of the samples by the museum, and ultimately the samples become the property of the museum.
